this stamp is not saying "b'aaaww don't flame me" or "give me nice comments"
aarrrgh. i'm on my last nerve. i don't want to have a stamp most people don't even understand. i should just delete it because i'm sick of people using this for completely opposite reasons it's supposed to represent.
I'm not talking only about flamers. The reason I made this stamp is the OPPOSITE of flamers, I see the paid-for critique feature being used to give a sonic recolour 5-out of-5 stars.
there are other stamps on this site that say "don't flame my art" only. this is not one of them.

Okay, now before I get comments telling me to stop my bitching and take crits, read this.
If you use this, do not use it to say "I don't want critique".
Use it to say "I want to grow as an artist, and I would like good, mature critique. I'm not half-assing what I do, and neither should you".
What the stamp means: Don't half-ass my critique.
Don't be too fluffy and sugarcoat everything.
Get off your high horse and realize I'm not an idiot. I want to improve, so give me a good, honest critique without being a pretentious bitch about it.
I am a huge supporter of constructive criticism.
That's right.
Constructive.
There are two things I cannot stand when it comes to critiquing on this site:
1. People who whine and complain and go batshit and get defensive when their art is critiqued, and
2. The people who take the constructive out of the criticism.
Critique has to have maturity on both sides to work.
I think artists should draw to the best of their ability and use other people's suggestions so they can grow.
But they can't mature as artists if they are surrounded by immaturity critique-wise.
I'm not saying critiques are bad.

If the person asks for a critique, it's fair game, but don't say anything if they never said they wanted one, even if you tell them in the nicest way possible. Lots of people don't realize how damaging that can be to people, especially younger artists or those who struggle with low self-esteem. The only exception is when it's in the professional art field. If it's for fun, that's different and it's best to just keep quiet unless they ask, but critiques are mandatory for artists who want to take their work seriously. I'm still astonished that many people still mix this up and think that saying it nicely is an excuse to be rude and intrusive.
